PICKLEBALL COURTS
At All Trades Construction, we provide a comprehensive process for resurfacing, painting, and laying out pickleball courts to ensure a smooth, durable, and professional finish that enhances gameplay and safety. You can pick your pickleball court colors here. Here’s how our process works:
SURFACE PREPARATION
- Inspection and Cleaning: We begin by thoroughly inspecting the existing court surface for cracks, depressions, and other imperfections. The surface is then cleaned using high-pressure washing to remove dirt, debris, and any loose paint or old coatings.
- Repairing Imperfections: Cracks, holes, or uneven areas are repaired using specialized patching compounds. This ensures the court is level and smooth, preventing any hazards or disruptions during play.
- Sanding and Smoothing: After repairs, we sand down any rough spots and ensure the surface is smooth and even, which is essential for proper coating adhesion and consistent ball bounce.
RESURFACING
- Application of Resurfacing Materials: A high-quality acrylic resurfacer is applied to the court. This material fills in minor imperfections and provides a durable base for subsequent coatings. Depending on the condition of the court, multiple coats may be applied to achieve an even, slip-resistant surface.
Proper resurfacing ensures the court maintains its integrity over time and provides optimal play conditions, with better grip and reduced wear from foot traffic and weather exposure.
PAINTING
- Applying Color Coating: Once the RESURFACING layer has dried, we apply specialized sport court coatings in the colors of your choice. These coatings are UV-resistant, fade-resistant, and designed to withstand harsh weather conditions while providing a vibrant, professional look.
- Multiple Coats for Durability: Typically, two to three coats of color are applied to ensure even coverage and durability. Our coatings also offer non-slip properties to ensure player safety.
- Why this matters: Properly applied color coatings not only enhance the aesthetics of the court but also provide a surface that can withstand heavy use and exposure to the elements.
LINE LAYOUT AND STRIPING
- Precision Line Marking: Using professional-grade equipment, we carefully measure and lay out the pickleball court lines according to official specifications (standard court size is 20 feet wide by 44 feet long). The lines are taped off to ensure crisp, clean edges.
- Application of Line Paint: High-contrast, durable line paint is then applied to create the boundaries, kitchen area, and service boxes. We use paint that is resistant to fading and peeling to ensure the markings stay clear and vibrant for years to come.
- Final Check for Accuracy: After the lines have dried, we perform a final check to ensure the layout is accurate and consistent with official pickleball court dimensions.
FINAL TOUCHES AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Surface Inspection: Once the painting and striping are complete, we inspect the entire surface for any imperfections or inconsistencies. We ensure that the court meets our high standards of quality and performance.
- Cleanup: Our team removes all materials and ensures the surrounding area is left clean and ready for play.
Our pickleball court services combine the highest standards of workmanship, durability, and competitive pricing, ensuring that your court is optimized for play and enjoyment. We also offer tennis court resurfacing and line striping for sports courts.
